Depends on your location and our nearest boat. Mid-Bay locations near Annapolis or the Bay Bridge typically see 45-60 minute response times. Upper and Lower Bay areas may take 60-120 minutes.
What if I'm stuck on a sandbar?
The Chesapeake’s shallow waters and shifting sandbars cause frequent groundings. We have shallow-draft tow boats and know how to refloat vessels without causing hull damage. Often we wait for rising tide to assist safely.
Can you tow in rough Bay conditions?
We operate in most conditions, but safety comes first. The Bay can get rough quickly—3-5 foot seas are common in winds over 20 knots. We assess each situation and will only tow when it’s safe for both your vessel and our crew.
