The owner tried posting the old watercraft on classified sites for two weeks, but nobody showed up to collect it. She was a widow clearing out her duplex yard and wanted the space back. The craft was an 11 ft Sea-Doo GTI with a gray fiberglass hull, black trim, and an internal jet drive.
Our crew arrived in June to haul the jet ski off the concrete pad behind the duplex. A family of raccoons had nested inside the central storage hatch. We suited up in heavy gloves, opened the cover, and gently coaxed the animals out with a long pole before we could winching the unit onto our flatbed trailer.
We brought the jet ski to a scrap yard where the pump was stripped for usable parts, and our crew cut the fiberglass hull to dispose of it at a recycling center. Our price sheet lists boats under 20 feet at about $75 a foot. Call 833-658-4847 for boat removal in Somerset County.

In our experience, water trapped inside an uncapped hull freezes during northern winter cold snaps, splitting the outer coat and rotting internal wood panels. We pump out residual gas and oil, drain the engine block, and remove the battery to handle hazardous materials before we cut the hull. When you have the paper title, we transfer it at pickup, or we sign a release of liability to update ownership records.

What people ask before a boat leaves
Is my old boat worth anything?
Most non-running fiberglass hulls have no resale value. We strip salvageable steel, aluminum, or pump hardware to recycle them, but the disposal cost for raw fiberglass usually offsets any money gained from scrap metal.
What if my boat is on a trailer?
We tow the trailer directly if the tires hold air and the axle is safe for road travel. If the trailer is rusted through, our crew winches the entire rig onto our heavy flatbed and hauls both pieces away together.
Boat disposal across Somerset County
Crews cover Somerset County: Bernardsville, Watchung, Peapack and Gladstone and Far Hills. Summer yard cleanups across this part of New Jersey often turn up old personal watercraft that boat owners abandoned behind garages after mechanical failures.
