Hauling a 19 ft Skeeter Bass Boat in Jefferson City, MO

This 19 ft Skeeter ZX190 spent years on local lakes before it sat idle. The owner moved it to his apartment complex parking lot, but the fading dark green hull and dirty white deck drew an HOA violation letter. He needed the fiberglass bass boat gone before the property manager towed it at his expense, so he called us for boat removal.

The apartment had a steep driveway leading onto a narrow street with parked cars on both sides. backing our heavy truck straight down was not an option, so we used a power winch and soft straps to guide the trailer down slowly. We checked the trailer tires and greased the wheel hubs on site so the rig would roll straight without locking up. Once the trailer reached the main road, we hooked it to our hitch and secured the safety chains.

Our crew brought the boat back to our shop to strip the salvageable parts. We rebuilt the outboard motor and resold it, then took the stripped fiberglass hull to a facility equipped for recycling. Our price sheet lists boats under 20 feet at about $75 a foot. If you have an unwanted vessel in Jefferson City or anywhere in Cole County, call us at 833-658-4847.

In our experience, humid summers and damp springs in Missouri cause heavy rust on trailer frames and leaf springs, making old setups risky to tow far. Before any hull goes to recycling, our crew drains all fuel, crankcase oil, and steering fluid, then removes the battery for proper disposal. We take the title from boat owners when one exists, or we sign a release of liability so the boat is off your name.

Boat removal questions from Jefferson City owners

What if my boat is on a trailer?

We tow the boat right on its trailer if the tires and axle are safe for the road. If the trailer has flat tires, rusted springs, or missing lights, our crew loads the boat and trailer together onto our flatbed transport truck for safe haul away.

Can you take a boat to the junk yard?

We do not drop whole boats at standard junk yards because scrap yards reject raw fiberglass hulls. Our crew hauls the boat to our yard, strips the hazardous materials and metal, and disposes of the remaining fiberglass hull at a facility that accepts it.

Removing boats across Cole County

Crews cover Cole County: Taos, Wardsville, St. Martins and St. Thomas. Early summer often brings calls from boat owners facing fines or strict deadlines from property managers. Warm weather makes sitting water smell, driving neighbors to complain about abandoned vessels parked in shared lots.
