Removing an 11 Foot Jet Ski in Hillsborough, NC

The boat owner called us first to ask how to transfer the registration for an old watercraft. He had an 11 ft Yamaha WaveRunner VX with a burgundy hull and white deck sitting in his yard. Marina staff were asking for their slip back for the summer season, so he needed the craft cleared out fast to park his main boat there instead.

The watercraft sat in a backyard behind a wooden privacy fence, and June rains had turned the turf into deep mud. A standard truck would sink to its axles in that lawn. Our crew laid down four wooden equipment pads to bridge the soft spots and protect the turf. We rolled a specialized hand dolly over the pads, secured the jet drive craft with two heavy ratcheting straps, and walked it safely around the fence corner to the driveway.

Our shop stripped the jet drive and engine parts for re-use, then cut the fiberglass hull and hauled it to a recycler for proper disposal. Our price sheet lists boats under 20 feet at about $75 a foot. For boat removal in Hillsborough or anywhere in Orange County, call us at 833-658-4847.

In our experience, humid summers and wet springs in North Carolina rust jet ski trailer frames quickly and trap moisture under the engine cover. Before any hull goes for recycling, our crew pumps out the fuel tank, drains the oil, and pulls the battery to keep hazardous materials out of the ground.

Questions owners ask about a job like this

Do I need a title to have my boat removed?

No, you do not always need a clear title in hand. If you have the original title, we take it during pickup. If you lost the paperwork, we sign a release of liability with you so the vessel is off your name.

Can you get a boat out of my backyard?

Yes, we pull vessels out of tight yards every week. Our crew uses hand dollies, winches, and ground mats to guide the hull around fences, trees, and gardens without damaging your lawn or heavy equipment.

Boat disposal across Orange County

Crews cover Orange County: Carrboro. As summer heat rolls into central North Carolina, boat owners clean out yards and driveways to make space for working watercraft. Rain and humidity turn sitting vessels into mosquito breeding spots, which prompts many property owners to request a quick haul and salvage.
