Removing a 22 ft Sun Tracker Pontoon in Syracuse, UT

A Syracuse boat owner bought a new craft and needed his backyard space back. His old 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge pontoon sat behind a wooden privacy fence, taking up the spot where the new boat belonged. He called us to haul the white and red pontoon away so he could use his yard.

The main problem was the total lack of a trailer. The pontoon sat flat on concrete blocks and old automobile tires. Our crew backed our flatbed truck close to the yard gate and pulled a few fence panels to clear a path. We used long steel hydraulic jacks under the aluminum crossmembers to lift the deck off the tires. Once elevated, we slid heavy plastic skids beneath the aluminum tubes. We hooked our electric winch cable to the bow eyes and pulled the vessel slowly onto our deck without tearing up the lawn.

Our shop salvaged the outboard engine and saved the hardware for secondary use. We hauled the aluminum tubes and deck to a scrap metal recycling facility that took the bare metal. Larger pontoon craft over twenty feet receive custom phone estimates due to varying hulls and yard settings. Boats over 20 feet are priced over the phone, because size and setting change the work. In our experience, June weather in northern Utah bakes pontoon decks quickly. The hard sun and dry heat split vinyl seats and turn tire rubber to dust, making flat tires likely during a haul. Our crew drains all fuel and oil into containment tanks and pulls the marine battery for proper disposal before we cut down any hull.

Questions from the phone this week

How to get rid of a broken boat?

Call our crew to haul it away. We load broken vessels from yards, driveways, or storage pads using heavy winches and flatbed trucks. We drain hazardous materials like fuel and oil, salvage usable motor parts, and tow the remaining hull to an approved scrap yard or disposal facility.

Can you remove a boat without a title?

Yes, we can haul your vessel even if the original title is missing. When you have no title, we sign a release of liability with you. This documentation proves you handed the vessel over to us so the vessel is completely off your name.

Boat disposal across Davis County

Crews cover Davis County: Layton, Bountiful, Kaysville and Farmington. Early summer heat often pushes local vessel owners to clear out old yard projects. People want space for modern watercraft before peak lake season, leading to steady service calls across the salt flat region.
