East Bethel, MN Boat Removal From a Marina Slip

The trailer under this 18 ft Bayliner Capri had two flat tires and a rusted winch post, which meant we could not just tow it away. The owner called our crew to East Bethel, MN because the marina staff needed the slip cleared of unpaid fees. The white hull had a faded navy blue stripe, and the boat had been sitting out on the water for two years.

Getting the bowrider onto our heavy ramp trailer took some extra work. When our crew opened the console to hook up the winch strap, we found a large wasp nest underneath the dash. We sprayed the nest, waited for the insects to drop, and used a portable electric winch to drag the hull onto our deck blocks. A good boat removal crew always carries insect spray alongside heavy straps.

We towed the boat off the property for haul and salvage. The fiberglass hull was cut into sections and hauled to a landfill that takes it, while the aluminum trim and outboard motor parts went to recycling. Our price sheet lists boats under 20 feet at about $75 a foot. Call 833-658-4847 for boat removal in East Bethel and Anoka County.

In our experience, harsh Minnesota winters cause deep structural damage when water traps in a hull, freezes, splits the gelcoat, and rots the core. Snow loads also collapse soft covers and let moisture rot the floor. Before any hull goes to the landfill or scrap yard, we drain all hazardous materials like fuel and oil and pull the battery. We take the title when you have one, or sign a release of liability.

Before you call: two common questions

What happens to my boat after removal?

We take the vessel to our shop for teardown. Hazardous materials are drained and disposed of properly. Scrap metals like aluminum rails, stainless steel cleats, and engine blocks go to metal recycling. The bare fiberglass hull is safely cut into smaller pieces and brought to a landfill that takes it.

What if my boat engine is inoperable?

An inoperable engine does not stop our work. We bring specialized winches, tow gear, and flatbed trailers to load boats with seized motors, missing outdrives, or snapped shift cables. Our crew handles the heavy lifting directly from your driveway, yard, dock, or local marina slip without needing the motor to run.
